Denver Water proudly serves high-quality water and promotes its efficient use to 1.3 million people in the city of Denver and many surrounding suburbs. Established in 1918, the utility is a public agency funded by water rates and new tap fees, not taxes. It is Colorado’s oldest and largest water utility.
The selected qualified candidate, under close supervision, performs cleaning, scrubbing, floor polishing, and related duties to keep office, corridors, buildings, and other areas in clean and orderly condition, using standard cleaning equipment, aids and preparations.
The successful candidate will also have the following qualifications for appointment:
- Sweeps and mops offices, buildings, corridors, lunchrooms and washrooms; waxes and buffs floors; washes walls and windows.
- Performs minor building maintenance and repair work, such as cleaning fixtures, ventilation outlets and sink rooms, replacing bulbs, and replenishing supplies in lavatories and washrooms.
- Dusts venetian blinds, door frames and window sills; empties waste baskets; gathers and disposes of refuse.
- Operates electric scrubber, waxer, buffing machine and other equipment.
Education Requirements
Graduation from high school, or equivalent education.
Experience Requirements
None.
Other Requirements
Requires frequent periods of standing, walking, bending-at-the-waist and stooping. Must be able to work shifts.
