Tours

No tours until March 2012

We are busy working to make your Denver Water treatment plant tour experience even better. Tours are currently on hold but will begin again in March 2012. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope you consider Denver Water for your group tour in 2012.

Tour a Denver Water treatment plant

Although water from our mountain reservoirs comes from rain and snowmelt, it must be tested and treated to ensure that safe, potable water is delivered to our customers.

Request to visit a drinking water treatment plant to learn the five-steps of potable water treatment or learn about the expanding recycled water system at the Recycled Water Treatment Plant. Recycled water — water treated to a standard just below drinking water — has helped meet the city’s needs for watering parks, golf courses and school grounds, replenishing lakes and serving industrial users. By reusing treated wastewater, Denver Water keeps enough pristine water in its reservoirs to serve 40,000 households.
