The Denver Museum of Nature & Science plans to use recycled water to heat and cool its new Education and Collections Facility.A museum expansion project that is evaluating Denver Water’s recycled water for heating and cooling recently received an award recognizing its female influence.

Commercial Real Estate Women, or CREW Denver, named the Denver Museum of Nature & Science’s Education and Collections Facility as a top three finalist for its Women of Influence Award. Among other innovative features, the new facility will use recycled water to heat and cool the new building.

More than 15 women are engaged in building and designing the new facility, which began construction in September 2011.
