National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Help keep your water clean!

Take part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day by disposing of your unwanted or unused medication responsibly. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April. 28, drop off your pharmaceuticals at a local collection site.

Can’t make it at that time? Take part in the Colorado Medication Take-Back Pilot Project, which offers secure pharmaceutical drop-off points at local grocery stores and health centers.

Properly disposing of medications, rather than flushing them down a toilet or throwing them away, will help keep pharmaceuticals out of your drinking water.

The impact of pharmaceuticals in drinking water on humans is still unclear. While Denver Water strives to deliver the highest quality water, you can do your part to dispose of unused medicine in a responsible manner.
