Boating Regulations

Boating is not permitted during posted emergency closures.
All boats are subject to U.S. Coast Guard and Colorado Parks Safety Standards and will be subject to safety inspection.

Non-motorized car top boats are allowed.
- Car top boats are those that can be lifted onto and taken from the top of a passenger vehicle.
- Car top boats are for recreation only.
- Car top boats are no more than 18 feet in length (24-foot, sea-touring, 2-person kayaks are also allowed).
- Car top boats are single-hulled, hand-propelled, and open construction.
- Inflatable car top boats must be multi-chambered.
