We value your contribution from day one — and we show it with real compensation.
At Denver Water, we are more than a utility. Our mission is bigger. We are protectors of a vital, natural resource for the 1.5 million people here today, and we ensure that future generations will have access to the fresh, clean resource that’s so important in Colorado.
Denver Water fosters careers with purpose. We prioritize personal growth through personalized support, career coaching and training programs. For some, flexible or hybrid schedules are available. And we have stable, market-based, competitive pay — even for internships.
Balance is key.
Every day, our teams work on complex, nationally recognized projects. We thrive on new ideas that lead the industry in water conservation and technology. And we know how to have fun along the way.
Whether your future lies in engineering, law, data science, trades or environmental planning, there’s a place for you here.
This is your moment. Let’s make it count (and earn a paycheck).
Grow Your Skills. Find Your People. Get Inspired.
Your internship is more than a job, it’s a launchpad. Over the summer, you’ll take part in experiences designed to spark ideas, build connections, and help you grow into the professional you’re becoming.
Pull up a chair and hear directly from the people shaping the future of water service. These relaxed conversations give you a chance to ask questions, get advice and learn from leaders who've been where you are — and found success.
Step out of the office and into the action. You will visit one of our operational facilities to see how clean, reliable water gets delivered every day. It's a hands-on look at the impact you can make.
At the end of the summer, you will take the spotlight with a presentation. Share your project, your insights and the difference you made. It's your moment to celebrate everything you've learned and contributed during your internship.
This isn’t just an internship — it’s your first big step.
You’ll work on real projects, get real mentorship and earn real money. This is your chance to build skills, ask questions and figure out what’s next. But don’t just take our word for it. Hear from past interns about their experience.
