During an open competition, a bidder/proposer must contact the primary contact listed in the solicitation. A bidder/proposer may not contact any other Denver Water personnel regarding the solicitation without prior written authorization of the primary contact in the solicitation.  

What is a pre-bid conference? 

A pre-bid conference provides a bidder/proposer an opportunity to hear from Denver Water personnel about the business needs of the purchase and ask questions about the solicitation.  

Depending on the complexity of the solicitation, a pre-bid conference may be omitted. If a pre-bid conference is offered, it is important for the bidder/proposer to carefully read the solicitation to confirm if attendance at the pre-bid conference is voluntary or mandatory to satisfy all requirements to submit an offer. 

What is a vendor demonstration or interview during the competitive selection process? 

Denver Water may request a vendor demonstration or interview after the preliminary evaluation of the vendor’s bid or proposal to clarify any points of the vendor’s offer. 

How do I check on the status of my quote, bid or proposal?

Please refer to the solicitation to find the Denver Water contact name, direct email and phone number to check the status of your offer. Provide the following information in your inquiry for a timely response: 

  • Your name, organization, phone number and email address. 
  • Title and number of the solicitation.  

What are public records pursuant to Colorado Open Records Act (CORA)? 

Denver Water may be required to disclose any or all the documents submitted with a bid/proposal, pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. § 24-72-201.1, et seq.  Under C.R.S. § 24-72-204(3)(a)(IV).
