Upcoming shoulder paving at Crescent Park Drive and Highway 72

by Melissa Brasfield | November 17, 2022 | News

Update 11/28/22: Shoulder paving at Highway 72 and Crescent Park Drive has been completed. Temporary striping is in place at the intersection. Once the weather allows, permanent strip of the intersection will be completed.

Denver Water’s contractor, Kiewit-Barnard, will begin work to pave the shoulder of Crescent Park Drive near Highway 72.

This work is required by CDOT due to delays in the planned intersection relocation at Gross Dam Road and Highway 72. As part of this work, Crews will grade and pave the shoulder of the road, and will restore the area, including drainage ditches, pavement markings and reseeding.

This work should last approximately two weeks. Kiewit-Barnard will make every effort to complete the work within this timeframe; however, as with any construction project, work will be dependent on weather.

Two-way traffic will be maintained during this project. There will, however, be a lane closure on Highway 72, and traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone.
