Denver Water seeks new Citizens Advisory Committee member — suburban customer representative

DENVER — Monday, March 23, 2026  — Denver Water’s 10-member Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is seeking a new suburban customer representative. The volunteer committee advises the utility on a range of issues while also encouraging and coordinating public participation in the agency’s policy development and planning initiatives.

The appointment is for a three-year term. The CAC meets on the third Thursday of each month, 5-6:30 p.m. Meetings are primarily virtual but may be held in person at Denver Water, 1600 W. 12th Ave., Denver, CO 80204. Meeting dates and times are subject to change.

To qualify for the position, the applicant must 

  1. Reside in Denver Water’s combined service area (i.e., be a Denver Water or distributor customer) and live outside of the City and County of Denver
  2. Be a U.S. citizen; 
  3. Have lived in Colorado for five or more years; 
  4. Have the ability and willingness to connect with constituents from the group they represent on CAC; and 
  5. Not be employed by Denver Water during their term. 

The committee works to maintain a balance of thought, background, skills and experience.
