Traffic Advisory — 15th Street pipe replacement project

DENVER — Oct. 18, 2017 Starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, Denver Water crews will close 15th Street between Blake Street and Wazee Street to accommodate the installation of a new water main.

This project is expected to last until mid-November. During the project, 15th Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, with intermittent weekend closures possible as well. Detour signs will be in place.

Water service interruptions will be communicated to impacted customers on an individual, as-needed basis.

The upgrade is part of Denver Water’s ongoing, proactive pipe replacement program, which prioritizes pipes for replacement based on data including type of pipe, installation date, soil composition, location and other relevant factors.
