The High Line Canal and its 71-mile trail are cherished recreational assets in the Denver area.

The canal has a rich history and over time continues to evolve. That’s why the nonprofit High Line Canal Conservancy is leading a comprehensive planning effort along with Denver Water, the public and the 11 communities that border the canal.

They are proactively planning for future protections and enhancements to the canal corridor. Recently, they completed the Community Vision Plan, a forward-looking story of what the High Line Canal corridor can become.

Next, they will align that plan with tangible outcomes for the entire length of the canal corridor by formalizing guidelines for tree plantings; unifying signage and wayfinding; expanding membership and community programming; and more.
