While you’re firing up the grill and hitting the pool for one last summer hurrah, there’s a chance you’ll need to turn on the faucet at some point on Labor Day.

Among those working on Labor Day will be Denver Water’s load control team, including Al Geist, a water distribution senior operator. Devoted individuals like Geist make sure just the right amount of water flows through the 3,000 miles of pipe in Denver Water’s distribution system. No small feat.
