Kids imagine a world without water, and it ain’t pretty

Do they really understand that water is life? We asked our own kids.

“I believe the children are our future. Teach them well, and let them lead the way.” – From “The Greatest Love of All,” originally recorded by George Benson.

Every fall there's a day, this year it's Oct. 17, to Imagine a Day Without Water, courtesy of the Value of Water Coalition.

And April, set aside for Earth Month, is also an opportunity to raise your awareness about the value of water. We encourage you, dear reader, to imagine just one day without any water. How would your life change?

For members of the TAP staff, the question hits close to our hearts, in more ways than one. Most of us are parents who, undoubtedly, take our work home with us and pass on our water knowledge to our kids. What do our own kids think about water? What do they think will happen if there is no water in the world?

We asked, and we got an earful. It’s cute, funny and pretty serious. Take a look.
