Traffic Advisory — West Cedar Avenue closure at South Santa Fe Drive starts April 28

DENVER — April 26, 2024 — Starting Sunday, April 28, West Cedar Avenue will close at South Santa Fe Drive while crews continue work to replace a pipe from West Byers Place to West Bayaud Avenue. Drivers will be unable to access northbound I-25 via South Santa Fe Drive at West Cedar Avenue during this closure, which is expected to last one week.

Those traveling southbound on South Kalamath Street will still be able to access the northbound I-25 on-ramp.

South Santa Fe Drive will continue to be reduced to one lane north of West Alameda Avenue, with lane closures in place 24/7. The project is expected to last through the end of May 2024.

Local access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project.

Construction will typically occur Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., though some night work is expected.

Commuters should expect delays in this area and thru-traffic should seek alternate routes if possible during construction. For more information, visit denverwater.org/Construction.
