As a reminder, Denver Water’s new water rates, approved by the Denver Board of Water Commissioners in October, took effect Jan. 1, 2023.
Denver Water understands times can be tough. If you are experiencing financial hardship, it’s better to pay what you can to keep the balance manageable. You can make full or partial payments by:
- Going to Pay-My-Bill.
- Sending a check in the mail.
- Calling our automated payment service at 1-800-556-0292.
- Paying at any Western Union agency location or at a King Soopers customer service desk.
If you qualify for the Colorado Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (or LEAP) the new Low-Income Housing Water Assistance Program can help. This emergency federal program helps residents pay their water and wastewater bills, avoid shut-offs and support reconnections related to nonpayment.
For information on LIHWAP assistance and eligibility, including income requirements, visit cdhs.colorado.gov/Leap.
We also partner with Mile High United Way 211 to assist with referrals to numerous programs. Find out if you qualify for hardship assistance by dialing 211, texting your ZIP code to 898-211 or visiting 211Colorado.org.
