This Manual includes the workflows, procedures, templates, and examples for Denver Water capital project delivery. The CPPM establishes the standard procedures and policies governing the planning, execution, and management of projects assigned to Denver Water’s Engineering Division. The CPPM is intended to operate in full alignment with Denver Water policies and rules while minimizing unnecessary constraints or requirements.
The CPPM is used as a reference framework for managing activities throughout the full project lifecycle. It defines roles and responsibilities, procedures, workflows, and supporting tools — including templates and examples — for use on Denver Water Capital Projects. Organized by project phase, the CPPM enables users to understand and follow the standard workflow from Project Initiation through Closeout and to execute projects using the procedures and guidance provided.
The CPPM is to be used by any stakeholder working on a Denver Water capital project including internal project teams, Contractors, Developers, Engineers, and other professionals working on Denver Water’s infrastructure.
