General Document Questions
The Engineering Standards were first published in 1959. The Standards have evolved, since first published, to provide requirements for the design, permitting, and installation of service lines, distribution, and transmission mains. These Standards shall be used in conjunction with the referenced Capital Project Construction Standards.
The Engineering Standards include process requirements for the Plan Review Process, compliance with the Cross-Connection Control Program, the Procedure for the Evaluation of Materials, and the Procedure for the Qualification of Contractors. The Engineering Standards and Capital Project Construction Standards shall be used together to meet Denver Water’s requirements for the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of service lines, distribution mains, transmission mains, and other infrastructure.
Contractors, Developers, Denver Water Distributors, Engineers, and other professionals working on Denver Water’s infrastructure within our Combined Service Area are required to be in accordance with the Engineering Standards and Capital Project Construction Standards.
